The BluePool
Pool Design Service
The BluePool Design Service is designed
to ensure that your new pool is built to exactly the
same standard as a pool built by us.
Using this approach our ARConWall
pools can be built anywhere in France at very economic
cost.
You get all the savings
from using a Pool Kit and all the benefits normally provided
by a Professional Pool Builder
Other Benefits
There are other benefits as well:-
- The Risk in providing up to 30% + TVA of the pool cost
in upfront payment to the Pool Builder is avoided.
- The Pool Buyer has much more control over the pool
Installation Schedule.
- All the potential problems that can lead to schedule
and cost over-runs are known to the Pool Builder before
installation starts
The Service allows the Pool Buyer to fully explore the
pool options available on a very economic basis and enables
the Pool Buyer to halt the whole project at any time if
the costs get too big.
The BluePool Design Service is provided in three stages
and provides reports at the end of each Stage. The fees
involved are very small when compared with the benefits
that are provided.
The Scope of Work in each Stage and the fees for each
Stage is indicated below.
Applicability
The BluePool Design Service is appropriate where:-
- The Pool Buyer requires a Unique, Customised Pool
- The
pool site is outside the normal Bluepools SARL operational
radius of about 200 kilometres from Jonzac
- The pool site
is very difficult (e.g. on a very steep slope, the site
is very rocky, there are poor ground conditions, there
is a high water table or running water near the site, the
site is very small and congested and a builder is already
on site)
- Major landscaping works are required to accommodate
the pool
- Where the pool has an infinity edge
- The pool is very large
with a high volume of water
- The pool needs to be supported
on a separate structure
It would also be particularly applicable when the Pool Buyer
is having a new house built or an old one renovated and already
has an experienced, qualified builder on site and wishes
to integrate the pool installation with the building project
so that the problems that can occur when two builders are
on site are avoided.
Assurance
Bluepools SARL has Assurance Decennale for exterior pools.
Where a builder is appointed with the assistance of Bluepools,
Bluepools will ensure that the builder also has appropriate
assurance decennale.
Stage 1 - Site Survey and Preliminary Estimate
Bluepool will arrange for a mini-digger to be delivered
to the pool site, visit the site, undertake a level and dimensional
survey and digs test pits. Bluepool will then report to the
Client by email.
The Report will include:-
- Sketch Plans showing the options for pool location
- A Photo-montage of each pool location options on a site
photograph
- Cross Sections with levels referenced to existing site
features
- Preliminary cost estimate.
The Standard Fee for Stage 1 is payable before the survey
and will be calculated on the basis of the return journey
length from Jonzac in Department 17 to the pool site at 1
Euro per kilometre, plus the digger hire and delivery charges,
plus 5% of the Kit Cost.
Where Special Structures or major Earthworks are required
the Fee may vary and this will be agreed Bluepools SARL /
Client before the survey is carried out.
Stage 2 – Outline Design and Builders Estimate
During this Stage the pool design is finalised and fixed
price Devis (Estimates) are obtained for the pool installation.
An external privately owned in-ground pool is exempt from
the general requirement to apply for a “Permis de Construire” but
is subject to the requirement to submit a “Declaration
Prealable”. The Mairie only has authority to ensure
that the proposed pool complies with the regulations. The
Marie can only refuse to approve the “Declaration Prealable” if
a third party, such as another Government Department, objects
to the proposal.
Bluepool will prepare the drawings for the “Declaration
Prealable” (Notice of Intent to Construct) and sketches
that are in sufficient detail for an experienced builder
to price for the construction of the pool and also provides
the following:-
- Detailed Pool Installation manual
- Pool Specification
- Schedule of Pool Components
- Schedule of Builder Materials Required
- A Detailed Estimate of what the Pool will cost to build
The actual pool construction cost is identified on the basis
of Option A or B as follows:-
Option A
Bluepool will obtain Devi(s) for the actual pool construction
from a local registered fully qualified and assured builder(s)
and satisfy itself that the builder is competent to build
the pool.
Option B
The client obtains prices for the pool construction from
his own builder or decides to undertake the work on a DIY
basis.
The fee for Stage 2 Option A is 15% of the pool kit cost
and for Stage 2 Option B is 10% of the pool kit cost. The
fee is payable before the work is carried out.
Where Special Structures or major Earthworks are required
the Fee may vary and this will be agreed Bluepools SARL /
Client.
Stage 3 – Installation
The Contract for the Pool Installation and the Supply of
the Bevlor Pool Kit is signed by the Client and the Client
pays the deposits to the Pool Builder and Bluepools SARL
for the BEVLOR pool kit. The Bluepool Fee for this Stage
will consist of 10% of the pool kit cost.
Bluepool prepares and submits the application for the “Declaration
Prealable” and also provides the 1:50 scale working
drawings of the pool for construction.
The pool will then be completed using the BEVLOR kit installation
process:-
- Bluepools SARL supplies the blocks and the other material
in the First Delivery and inspects the pool excavation.
The Pool Builder will be advised orally (to be confirmed
by Email) on the foundation conditions. If they are not
good enough or ground water is present Bluepools will advise
on a suitable method that could be adopted to remedy the
defective ground conditions.
- Bluepools will deliver the pool liner and the balance
of all the pool kit in the Second Delivery and advise on
the liner and filtration equipment installation. Bluepools
will inspect the pool construction works and prepare a
snagging list of any work that needs repair re-installation
or reconstruction. The Pool Buyer (or his Builder) will
be advised of these orally and an Email confirmation sent
by Bluepools on the following day.
- When the pool is complete Bluepools will again inspect
the pool installation works and prepare a Schedule of Defects
of any work that needs repair re-installation or reconstruction.
The Pool Buyer (or his Builder) will be advised of these
orally and an Email confirmation sent by Bluepools on the
following day.
