CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

Thank you to Bluepools for the lovely swimming pool you have installed for us. We are very pleased with it and this justifies our decision to choose Bluepools to do the installation for us. It has been a great success with our gite clients also, from whom we have had some very complimentary comments.

Best Regards
Kevin & Debbie MILLS

"Blue Pools have done a fabulous job on the pool at our holiday home in Argenton-sur-Creuse. It wasn't easy to instal but they kept us informed of progress and always came up with solutions that overcame the obstacles & ensured we got our dream pool. What I liked most is that they returned to put right a couple of problems with the equipment after the job was done, at no extra cost. The finish is very good and is made to a high standard with very low maintenance. It is great to see such dedication & integrity - I can't speak highly enough of Will, Luke & their staff.

Andrew Campbell"

I appreciated the answers to my questions and the time Luke spent at our initial meeting, going thriough the various options, with helpful suggestions and observations on our plans for our new pool at our holiday home near Tarbres. It was a relief to find a company that was prepared to offer a full construction solution including the terracing, steps and landscaping. I found the quotation very comprehensive, and useful to have an idea of the costs we might incur should ground conditions prove difficult - which they did!! Also appreciated Bluepools ability to overcome the difficulty encountered with the water table.

You were pretty accurate in terms of timescale for completing the project although there was an over run of three days because of the day or two later than advised start, the extra work involved in overcoming the water table issue, and the inclement weather towards the end of the final week.

Having been initially advised by Luke that an engineering project of this scale would undoubtedly create damage to the land surrounding the pool site, we were pleasantly surprised at how little damage had actually been caused.
Overall, very happy with how everything has been handled, and would happily recommend Bluepools - especially now they're going to have a presence down that way.

Kind Regards

Andrew Lund-Yates

I would like to thank you for the way you handled the installations off the two swimming pools for me. You managed to start just after the selected time, proved to be totally reliable and finished in the time frame you had expected. The quality of the work was fine and you left everything neat and tidy after you had finished. I have good relationship with Luke and he has always been available to sort out any teething problems. I would like to wish you all the very best for the future.

Kind Regards Keith Trenter

When working on an old house there are always many unforeseen problems, and, like many other Brits, our house is old. So when it came to putting a swimming pool close to the house it was not surprising to find some complications. Bluepools proved themselves by recognising these complications and coming up with solutions.
Their ability to cope with these extras has made such a difference. Otherwise we would have been chasing around, spending time we really do not have, looking for additional artisans to do those unforeseen bits and pieces.
From the earliest stages, a test hole for the fosse septique soak-away, through to completion of the swimming pool Bluepools products and services have been good which means peace of mind for us."

Hi Luke,

The pool has been brilliant and we have had an increase in the number of people wanting to visit as a result. But that is something we can put up with!

Caroline Jones - August 2007

Dear Luke

Many thanks to you, Will and the lads for a terrific job, Amanda and I are really pleased with the result.

PolyBloK Swimming Pool Kits

The Polyblok Pool Kits have been developed by Bluepools to provide you with the First Pool Kit that can be used equally well for In-ground, Above Ground or Partly In-ground Swimming Pools.

You just buy the kit and DIY the installation or get your local builder to do it for you.

They provide great value for money and reduce the risk involved in building a swimming pool quite significantly

And this web page will show you exactly How it all works.

Why do they provide such great Value for Money?

Because:

  • The pool kits are very competitively priced
  • All the building work will be carried out by DIY or your local builder and travelling / accommodation costs will be minimised
  • You will not be paying for the high overhead costs of a professional pool installation company that includes advertising, vehicle fuel and running costs, directors salaries and the social security payments on them and most importantly the 20% overhead of TVA!
  • Building companies work at lower profit mark-ups than pool installation companies because the business overheads are spread over a lot more people - so their workers are cheaper
  • And last but most importantly you will be the proud owner of the highest performance pool available on the French market!

Why does a PolyBlok kit pool Reduce Risk?

There are three sorts of pool installation risk:-

  • The Risk that you will lose your money because the pool installer runs off with it or goes bust - this is unfortunately all to common at the moment
  • The Risk that the pool will be of poor Quality.
  • The Risk that the pool installer will start late and take months to do the work.

If you buy a PolyBloK kit pool the amount of your money paid out on advance payments will be reduced to a minimum because:

  • Your deposit payment for the kit will be 20% of the kit cost + TVA - not 20% of the whole professional pool installation cost + TVA!
  • You pay upfront for 80% of the balance of the kit cost and the total cost of the kit is only about 25% of the cost of professional pool installation. And so your money is not sat at risk for months in the account of a pool installation company.
  • You pay your builder after he has carried out the work - not upfront as with most pool installation contracts

Your risk that the pool will be of poor Quality will be reduced to a minimum because:

  • The pool kits provide the highest performance pool currently available on the French market
  • We will hold your hand every step of the way to make sure that your builder performs - if he does not you do not pay him until he has put things right
  • We will always be available by phone or visit to get you or your builder back on track if you get into difficulties
  • If there is any structural problem with your pool we will visit the site, report on the problem and help you get your pool builder to put it right

Your risk that the pool will be installed late because the pool installer is delayed on previous projects will be reduced to a minimum because:

  • You are using your own builder or it is DIY - in either case you are in control

Kit contents

The kits include every single thing that you need to build a pool with a square Roman End except for the materials for making the concrete and screed.

Pool Specification

The pool specification is the same as the polyblock pools that we install everywhere.

Roman End

The Roman End is a massive 3m wide x 1.5 m deep and provides 3 No 500mm wide steps that adults can laze on while your young children play on the steps. It is covered by reinforced non-slip liner that feels very good to sit on and is also very durable.

Instruction Manual

You will receive the detailed fully illustrated instruction manual in the form of an Ebook after we have received your deposit so that your builder can price the cost of installing the pool.

Pool Components

The pool components are of the same high quality that we use in all the pools that we build ourselves and you also receive cleaning and maintenance equipment as well as the chemicals for commissioning the pool and getting it ready for that first swim! The pool filtration system provides the best water quality and standard of hygene available in a French supplied swimming pool. Please look at the Pool Sanitation web page for more information on pool sanitation and hygiene.

Built for Life Quality

When it is finished you shouldl have a Bluepool that will last a lifetime

What are the costs involved?

Costs include ARConWall slab costs. The total cost of the pools are shown in the following table and they include for sufficient concrete and reinforcement to provide a 1 m wide concrete slab around 3 sides of the pool and 3 metres at the Roman End to provide the "ARConWAll" support to the top of the pool walls.

Approximate total pool costs

The approximate total costs of a pool built in this way are shown in the following table. These are of course budget figures because they depend on the prices from your builder and builders merchant. These vary depending on location remoteness, local competition and the department where you are located. Ready mixed concrete can normally be purchased for 100 euros per cube or less and then all you need are plenty of friends to pour it for you.

Excavation Cost

The digging should cost less than 1000 euros. But if you do it yourself with a mini-digger a 2.75 tonne machine will be adequate in most materials except rock and the excavation should take no more than two days. The hire cost of such a machine should be less than 500 euros for two days including delivery and collection.

Pool Kit Prices

The following table gives the pool kit costs and the cost of the completed pool if your labour costs are 150 Euros per day.

Notes on the pool kit costs

The costs of the paving flags that can be laid on the concrete slabs around the pool and the safety device to stop children from drowning as required by French law are the only costs that are not included. You can float off the surface of the concrete and seal it if you do not want to find additional money for the paving flags. They can be laid at any time in the future.

If the pool is built in accordance with our instruction book you will have a pool of the same strength as those built professionably by us. The standard of finish is of course in your hands but all the processes are simple and straightforward.

Guarantees

If the pool has been built in accordance with our standards and the Specification, the following guarantees will apply:-

  • We guarantee the design of the pool structure against any movement or settlement caused by ground subsidence or water pressure provided that the wall foundations are at least 1 metre below original ground level and the all the ground is from the surface down to foundation level is natural and not fill of any kind.
  • We guarantee to replace any defective parts that were part of the pool kit for 1 year after pool commissioning on a "Return to Bluepools" basis.
  • We guarantee that we will provide the design and parts for a water treatment system that will filter the whole volume of the water in the pool in 6 to 8 hours (depending on the system settings) and keep the water level constant to ensure that your pool water is healthy and safe to swim in at all times.

What other components might be useful?

You might consider the following. The prices for these can be calculated using the Kit Estimate Tool.

  • A fully automatic liquid chlorine and Ph control unit that keeps the pool water quality to an optimum level

  • A salt based chlorinator

  • A heat pump

  • A robot to clean the pool

  • A solar heated shower and automatic pool water top-up

  • A button operated pool cover that acts as winter cover, summer cover and safety device and is relatively cheap when the cost of the winter and summer covers as well as the safety device are off-set against the purchase price.
